Leadership and Personality
Successful leadership is more a question of personality than of position. Typical attributes of personalities with high leadership potential are knowledge of human nature and the ability to appeal to people’s inner selves and offer them meaning and direction, self-knowledge, dedication, courage, flexibility and steadfastness, a sense of feeling and intuition and a desire for power, without falling victim to it.
Being a leader means management of complexities and conflicts, offering direction and creating confidence, taking responsibility but also delegating, encouraging creativity and, last but not least, developing and driving the relevant issues.
Leadership means working with and for people, the ability to motivate others and bring about change.
